I’ve been away for the weekend so I don’t know when this was sent, but I would love to help. It might be easier for me to answer if you ask off of anon, but I’ll try my best. Adjusting to college is difficult for a lot of people and it’s really important to find a balance between everything. When it comes to academics, you’re going to have to work a lot harder to get an A in a college class than you did in high school. Trust me, the same thing happened to me. If you are having trouble understanding a concept, it’s important to go to your professor’s office hours or go to tutoring. Most colleges have these kinds of resources to help their students succeed. I’m definitely not the one to ask about what to be wearing to classes or parties because at my school girls wear oversized tshirts and running shorts to class everyday. (It’s a very sloppy look, but very comfy and good to wear in the hot and humid weather we have.) My boy advice is this: it’s okay to have a crush on the super hot athlete, but don’t put him on a pedestal where you think he’s this perfect guy, cause he most likely isn’t. Find a guy who treats you well and makes you laugh and who you love spending time with. If you don’t love who you are right now, then you need to make the active decision to change what you dislike about yourself. This will make you happier and give you more confidence in yourself. Just remember that there is always room for improvement, and with a little work, you will be able to get there.
That’s the message.
Best reaction ever.
